Through links with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and the Malawi-Liverpool Wellcome Trust Clinical Research programme, WWR volunteers are involved in a number of research projects, varying in topics, ranging from CT in Post-TB lung disease, Ultrasound in Liver cancer prevalence, to mobile Chest X-rays and CAD for TB detection in primary care.

We are also supporting projects for IMPALA: The International Multidisciplinary Programme to Address Lung Health and TB in Africa, and for ARCS: The African Research Collaboration on Sepsis. Both programmes include imaging research centred on point of care ultrasound
