About the event
We are excited to announce our new, modular point of care ultrasound program for physicians working in resource limited settings. Developed and delivered by Worldwide Radiology expert volunteers and academics from the Ultrasound Department of The School of Health and Society of the University of Salford, UK. Participants will be enrolled by the University of Salford, which will host the educational platform and provide CPD approval.
We will provide a range of basic knowledge and skills in this pilot level 1 module, including E-FAST, chest, renal, infectious diseases and first trimester obstetrics. Follow-on advanced modules are planned for the future. Teaching will be delivered by a team of expert sonographers, radiologists and physicians, both local and external to Ghana with a maximum hands-on teaching ratio of 1 instructor to 2 participants.
