In this video, we speak with Dr. Chisomo Kadammanja, a third-year trainee and part of the first intake of the MMed Radiology training programme in Malawi, launched in 2022.

Chisomo shares what it’s been like to be part of this pioneering cohort, the challenges and highlights of his training so far, and how support from Worldwide Radiology volunteers has shaped his journey. He also introduces us to his research dissertation, developed in collaboration with MLW researchers and supported by the DISC committee.

As someone actively involved in the Teleradiology Evaluation study and a regular participant in WWR’s teaching programme, Chisomo offers valuable insights into the real-life clinical and educational impact of teleradiology services in low-resource settings.

Learn more about how partnerships and remote support are helping to strengthen radiology capacity and build a sustainable future for medical imaging in Malawi.
