We are extremely pleased to welcome Dr Jim Connolly and Paula Alionyte to the Worldwide Radiology (WWR) board of Trustees. Jim is an NHS Consultant in Emergency Medicine, president elect of the European Society of Emergency Medicine, and Chair of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Special Interest Group. He is one of the “fathers” of point of care ultrasound and an enthusiastic trainer on our POCUS course in Ghana building Emergency Medicine links, as well as teaching clinical ultrasound skills. https://lnkd.in/eyGAj9Aq Paula brings many years of communications and fundraising expertise in international charities to the organisation. She has worked previously with WWR as a consultant and has made significant contributions to the organisation's operational efficiency, helping us focus our funding strategy and improve communications and branding. She really has been with us from the start! Now, alongside her new role as Head of Advancement Operations at Newcastle University, she is re-joining WWR as a trustee. As a volunteer led Charity our board of Trustees are crucial to our work and are actively involved in many of our programmes. A huge thanks to the Trustees that give up so much of their time and expertise to help us on our mission.
