Join Snowdon Challenge 2026
Join Worldwide Radiology for a brilliant early-summer day out in Snowdonia, with a friendly team, fresh air and a shared goal: raising funds to support practical imaging education and specialist clinical support where it is hardest to access.
This challenge is free to take part in. We simply ask everyone joining us to fundraise for Worldwide Radiology.

The route: Llanberis Path (Yr Wyddfa)
We will be walking up Snowdon using the Llanberis Path, often described as the most gradual route. It is still a hard, strenuous mountain walk and should not be underestimated.
What to expect:
-
Distance: around 14.5 km / 9 miles there and back
-
Ascent: roughly 950 to 975m
-
Time: usually 5.5 to 7 hours total for most walkers, including breaks
-
Difficulty: hard/strenuous, steady climbing with some steep sections and exposed mountain conditions near the top
How fit do I need to be?
You do not need to be an athlete, but you do need a good base level of fitness and to be comfortable walking for several hours on uneven ground.
Suggested prep:
-
Aim for 2 to 4 weeks of regular walking beforehand if you are not already doing longer walks
-
Build up to at least 2 to 3 hour walks, ideally with some hills or stairs
-
If you can comfortably walk 10 to 15k on mixed terrain, you are in a good place
-
Please do not join if you are currently unwell or injured
If you are unsure, get in touch and we will talk it through.
